About the Role

RLI Insurance Company is seeking a Technical Underwriting Manager to support the underwriting functions of its commercial surety product line. This remote position, ideally based in Houston or Dallas, Texas, will involve underwriting new and renewal accounts, building relationships with agents and reinsurers, and reviewing complex submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new and renewal individual accounts
  • Build strong relationships between agents, reinsurers, and contacts
  • Review complex submissions, account losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar field or position
  • Ability to use analytical methods in underwriting
