About the Role

The Technology Communications Specialist role at Netflix is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and communication. As a key member of the Open Connect Partner Enablement team, you will be responsible for enabling high-quality and consistent messaging across all internal, public, and partner-facing collateral. This includes managing the Open Connect public website, partner help center, and educational materials, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

The Open Connect Partnerships and Planning team collaborates closely with global network of ISPs and infrastructure partners to design and build efficient, effective, scalable, and resilient interconnection and network deployment strategies. As a Technology Communications Specialist, you will work cross-functionally with teams such as Open Connect Engineering and NetEng, Global Affairs, Legal, Data Science and Engineering, and Product and Technology to ensure that Netflix's content delivery network is optimized for peak performance.

The role requires a deep understanding of internet technology concepts, including routing, network and traffic management, network interconnection, server hardware and software, and data center operations. You will need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems, with strong technical and business judgment.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and own the relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including ISPs and infrastructure partners
  • Work with cross-functional partners to align messaging and stakeholder communication
  • Serve as an Open Connect technical and strategic subject matter expert
  • Drive the development of proactive collateral for new and evolving content-driven formats
  • Own the development and operational management of messaging documents and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Leverage AI strategies where possible to optimize content delivery and partner communications
  • Collaborate with the Open Connect Engineering and NetEng teams to ensure seamless content delivery
  • Work with the Global Affairs team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain educational materials, including presentations, webinars, and conference materials
  • Manage the Open Connect public website and partner help center
  • Develop and send Open Connect Newsletters, internal and external email communications

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a technical communications or related field
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong technical and business judgment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems
  • Experience or educational background in internet technology concepts, including routing, network and traffic management, and data center operations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work across time zones
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing
  • Experience with content management systems and website development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage AI strategies where possible

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with ISPs and infrastructure partners
  • Knowledge of content delivery networks and streaming technology
  • Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools
  • Certification in a related field, such as ITIL or CompTIA
