Job Description
About the Role
Lokal is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Tele Caller to join their team, specifically working with their sister app, Dostt, an audio and video platform operating in Tamil. As the company continues to expand rapidly, this role will play a crucial part in driving growth and engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for making outbound calls to potential leads, understanding their needs, and offering suitable services, ultimately onboarding them to the platform.The Tele Caller will work closely with the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly operational and productivity targets, ensuring professional communication and a positive host experience during interactions. This role requires a strong understanding of the platform's features, policies, and incentives, as well as the ability to resolve basic host concerns and coordinate escalations with internal teams.
What You Will Do
- Make outbound calls to potential and existing hosts/partners to understand their needs and offer suitable services
- Onboard and train new hosts as per platform guidelines, ensuring a seamless experience
- Assist users with profile completion, onboarding steps, and activation, providing support when needed
- Follow up on pending onboarding and verification activities to drive engagement
- Engage with existing hosts to improve platform activity and retention, building strong relationships
- Contact inactive users and work towards reactivation, using persuasive communication skills
- Educate hosts about platform features, policies, incentives, and opportunities, promoting the value of the platform
- Resolve basic host concerns and coordinate escalations with internal teams, ensuring prompt resolution
- Maintain detailed records of calls, follow-ups, onboarding status, and escalations, using tools like Excel and Google Sheets
- Achieve daily/weekly/monthly operational and productivity targets, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations
- Stay updated with platform processes, operational changes, and promotional activities, adapting to the dynamic environment
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a strong foundation in communication and customer service
- Proven experience as a Telecaller, Customer Support Executive, Retention Executive, or in a similar role, with a track record of success
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply
- Strong customer-centric approach, with a focus on empathy and understanding
- Ability to handle rejections professionally, maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience working with audio and video platforms, or similar technologies
- Knowledge of local languages, particularly Tamil, with the ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with CRM software, or similar tools, with the ability to maintain accurate records
