What You Will Do

• Receive referrals for consultations within the states where you're licensed
• Conduct video consultations with clients to assess their needs and provide support
• Perform diagnostic mental health assessments to determine the need for an Emotional Support Animal or Psychiatric Service Animal
• Use various scales and assessments to inform your diagnoses
• Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and providing guidance
• Collaborate with the US Service Animals team to ensure seamless client experiences
• Manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and assessments

What We Are Looking For

• A licensed mental health professional with the ability to practice and diagnose independently in IN, CO
• A strong foundation in digital skills, including video conferencing and online platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on mental health and wellness
• A strong understanding of the DSM-5 and diagnostic criteria for mental health conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Emotional Support Animals or Psychiatric Service Animals
• Knowledge of state-specific laws and regulations regarding mental health services
• Certification in a specialized area, such as trauma or anxiety
• Experience with electronic health records and practice management software
• A background in research or academia, with a focus on mental health and wellness
