About the Role
As a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Professional, you'll play a critical role in connecting with clients and providing professional assessments. Your expertise will help determine the need for Emotional Support Animals or Psychiatric Service Animals, making a real difference in people's lives. You'll work closely with the US Service Animals team, leveraging your digital skills to navigate the online platform and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but you can expect to receive referrals, conduct video consultations, and perform diagnostic assessments. You'll also collaborate with the team to ensure seamless client experiences and resolve any issues that may arise. What You Will Do
- Receive referrals for consultations within the states where you're licensed
- Conduct video consultations with clients to assess their needs and provide support
- Perform diagnostic mental health assessments to determine the need for an Emotional Support Animal or Psychiatric Service Animal
- Use various scales and assessments to inform your diagnoses
- Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and providing guidance
- Collaborate with the US Service Animals team to ensure seamless client experiences
- Manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and assessments
What We Are Looking For
- A licensed mental health professional with the ability to practice and diagnose independently in IN, CO
- A strong foundation in digital skills, including video conferencing and online platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on mental health and wellness
- A strong understanding of the DSM-5 and diagnostic criteria for mental health conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Emotional Support Animals or Psychiatric Service Animals
- Knowledge of state-specific laws and regulations regarding mental health services
