About the Role
The Tennessee Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in the firm's personal injury practice, working closely with experienced lawyers to manage cases from inception to resolution. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a deep understanding of personal injury law and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in litigation, specifically in personal injury, and be well-versed in state-specific laws and regulations.The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional client service and driving the firm's growth. What You Will Do
- Draft complaints and initial discovery documents for personal injury cases
- Forward complaints to process servers and monitor service of process
- Draft discovery responses and manage the discovery process
- Calendaring and noticing depositions and leaves of absence
- Draft and file standard motions and motion responses
- Calendaring litigation timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Conduct status update calls with clients to keep them informed of case progress
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing documents and evidence
- Send out and follow up on non-party discovery requests
- Assist in preparing for and attending depositions and court hearings
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in personal injury litigation
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law and procedures
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with digital tools and technology for case management
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working with personal injury law firms or similar legal environments
- Knowledge of state-specific laws and regulations relevant to personal injury cases
- Certification as a paralegal or legal assistant
