## About the Role As a Territory Business Manager at Dexcom, you will be responsible for managing sales and customer relationships in a designated territory, focusing on promoting Dexcom's continuous glucose monitoring products to healthcare professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of the medical device industry, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including physicians, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about improving human health and will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support.
The territory for this role includes the Altoona, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and Quad City areas, and you will be expected to travel frequently to meet with customers and attend industry events. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, providing product training and support to customers, and working closely with other teams to ensure alignment and maximize sales opportunities.

## What You Will Do - Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Dexcom's products to healthcare professionals in the designated territory - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including physicians, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies - Provide product training and support to customers, including in-person training sessions and online webinars - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and maximize sales opportunities - Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities - Attend industry events and conferences to promote Dexcom's products and build relationships with key stakeholders - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the medical device industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs - Collaborate with other Territory Business Managers to share best practices and develop new sales strategies - Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and sales performance - Develop and implement plans to achieve sales targets and expand Dexcom's customer base in the designated territory
## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, or a life science - Minimum of 5-8 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably in a role that involves promoting products to healthcare professionals - Proven track record of sales success, including meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding customer relationships - Strong understanding of the medical device industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams - Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities - Ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips, to meet with customers and attend industry events
## Nice to Have - Experience working with continuous glucose monitoring products or other medical devices - Knowledge of the diabetes disease state and the healthcare industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support - Certification in sales or a related field, such as the Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative (CNPR) or the Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
