About the Role
The Territory Sales Officer role at Unilever is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales acumen, analytical skills, and relationship-building abilities. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company's distribution network in the Gurgaon region. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing the distributor system, analyzing market data, and identifying opportunities to improve execution and performance.The role reports to the Area Sales Manager and is an integral part of the sales team. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies. What You Will Do
- Achieve sales targets through personal selling and driving the distribution system
- Manage the distributor system, including front-end and back-end infrastructure
- Analyze MIS reports to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Negotiate with distributors and develop their sales teams to obtain more business
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with trade partners to strengthen the company's market position
- Provide market feedback and reports to the branch office
- Analyze competitive position in the market and recommend strategies for improvement
- Monitor distributor performance and take corrective action when necessary
- Conduct promotional activities and executions
- Use MS-Office, particularly Excel, to analyze data and create reports
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum full-time graduation
- At least 2 years of experience in channel sales
- Excellent ROI calculations and RS distribution management skills
- Well-versed in RS appointment and sales planning
- Knowledge of conducting promotional activities and executions
- Proficiency in MS-Office, particularly Excel
- Decent communication skills in English and local language
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in digital marketing and sales analytics
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Certification in sales or marketing
- Experience in managing a team or leading projects
