About the Role
The role of a Therapist at Equip is multifaceted and crucial, as it involves working with a multidisciplinary care team to provide therapy for patients with eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses. This position requires a strong foundation in evidence-based care modalities and the ability to deliver care effectively in a virtual setting. The therapist will be part of a team that is passionate about mental health and committed to expanding access to treatment, making it a fulfilling role for those who are dedicated to this field.Day-to-day, the therapist will engage with patients of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures, providing individualized care plans and utilizing evidence-based treatments to support recovery. The ability to work collaboratively with the care team and to provide support and guidance to patients and their families is essential. Given the remote nature of this role, the therapist must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
What You Will Do
- Provide therapy for patients with eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses
- Utilize evidence-based care modalities in treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Support patients and their families through the recovery process
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new technologies
- Deliver care in a virtual setting, requiring strong technical skills and ability to navigate digital healthcare platforms
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in eating disorder treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

What We Are Looking For
- Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Nebraska
- Ability to support a diverse caseload of patients with varying degrees of acuity
- Passion for evidence-based care and treatment of eating disorders
- Strong team player with enthusiasm for collaborative work
- Ability to safely and effectively deliver care in a virtual setting
- Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Familiarity with digital healthcare platforms and technologies
