## About the Role As a Translator/Linguist at Elevenlabs, you will be part of a dynamic team that is pushing the boundaries of how we interact with technology. The role entails editing and refining AI-assisted translations to ensure they meet the highest standards of linguistic accuracy, cultural nuance, and natural flow. This is a critical function within the Productions team, which is a new marketplace that brings together AI audio tools and a network of human experts to deliver high-quality content at scale. The team's work has already made an impact, managing content workflows for some of the world’s top YouTube channels, book publishers, and media & entertainment businesses.

The Translator/Linguist role matters because it bridges the gap between technology and human touch, ensuring that the content produced is not only technically sound but also resonates with its audience. In terms of team context, you will be working closely with dubbing and audio teams to ensure translations perform well in spoken form. This collaboration is key to the success of the Productions team and the company as a whole. ## What You Will Do - Edit and refine AI-assisted translations for fluency, tone, and cultural appropriateness.

• Localize scripts for dubbing, voiceover, and multimedia content, ensuring that they are tailored to the specific audience and context.
• Ensure terminology consistency across projects and maintain glossaries where needed to uphold the quality and coherence of the translations.
• Collaborate with dubbing and audio teams to review and refine translations, focusing on how they will perform in spoken form.
• Conduct thorough research to understand the cultural nuances and audience preferences relevant to the translations.
• Utilize Excel and other tools to manage and analyze data related to translation projects.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of style guides and terminology lists to support consistent and high-quality translations.
• Provide feedback to the AI development team on the quality and usability of AI-assisted translation tools.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies that could enhance the translation process.
• Contribute to the development of new products and services by providing linguistic and cultural insights.

## What We Are Looking For - Native or near-native fluency in one or more supported languages.

• Proven experience in professional translation and/or localization, with a portfolio that demonstrates your skills.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuance and audience adaptation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in translation work.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy, ensuring that translations are of the highest quality.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on time, meeting deadlines and managing your workload effectively.
• Experience with subtitle editors, CAT tools, or AI-assisted translation workflows is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the ElevenLabs platform and/or other AI-powered localization tools is a plus.
• Background in linguistics, translation studies, or language technology can provide a strong foundation for this role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with the team and provide clear feedback.
