## About the Role As a Treasury Manager at Equinix, you will play a critical role in shaping and managing the company's global foreign currency and interest rate hedging strategy. This will involve collaborating with various internal stakeholders, including capital markets, corporate development, and accounting teams, to develop and implement effective risk management solutions. Your expertise in derivative hedge accounting will be essential in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintaining accurate financial reports. The FX and Rates team at Equinix is responsible for managing the company's foreign currency and interest rate exposures, which are critical components of its global operations. As a Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating these risks to ensure the company's financial stability and growth. ## What You Will Do - Identify foreign exchange and interest rate exposures, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks using derivatives and other hedging instruments - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including capital markets, corporate development, and accounting teams, to develop and implement effective risk management solutions - Negotiate terms and execute trades with banking counterparts to achieve optimal pricing and terms - Maintain and manage the trade repository, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper classification of all derivative transactions - Perform month-end close activities, including valuation of derivative instruments, preparation of journal entries, and GL account reconciliations - Lead the preparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K sections related to the company's hedging programs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and appropriate detail - Collaborate with IT on various data integration and automation projects to streamline processes and improve efficiency - Serve as a key partner to Accounting, SEC Reporting, and both internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX controls - Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banking counterparts, auditors, and consultants
## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline - 3+ years of experience in derivative accounting or a related field - Demonstrated history of identifying, proposing, and implementing process improvements across financial reporting and close processes - Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with financial reporting software, such as Reval, Oracle Cloud, and Hyperion - Public accounting experience a plus - Highly collaborative temperament with superb attention to detail and proven communication skills - Strong interest in finance and a solid understanding of the economics of derivatives transactions and associated accounting practices - Experience working in a multinational environment and navigating complex foreign currency and interest rate exposures
## Nice to Have - Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline - Experience with data integration and automation projects, including IT collaborations - Familiarity with SOX controls and audit procedures - Strong problem-solving skills and a tendency to take initiative - Experience working with external stakeholders, including banking counterparts and auditors
