About the Role

The Trustee role at Pickle is a unique opportunity to join a modern philanthropic organization focused on building sustainable, long-term impact. As a Trustee, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction and governance of the organization, ensuring that it maintains strong governance while supporting innovation and responsible growth. You will be part of a lean and agile environment that operates at the intersection of philanthropy, governance, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

The organization is seeking individuals who are solutions-oriented, commercially minded, and entrepreneurial in their thinking. You will be working closely with the Board to provide constructive challenge and independent judgement, helping to ensure that the organization operates in line with its charitable objectives and governance responsibilities.

The role entails approximately one day of commitment per month, with the possibility of reimbursement for reasonable expenses. As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, insight, and professional experience to Board discussions, helping to shape the organization's strategic direction and governance.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the organization
  • Support effective oversight of risk, compliance, and organizational performance
  • Provide constructive challenge and independent judgement to the Board
  • Help ensure the organization operates in line with its charitable objectives and governance responsibilities
  • Support the long-term sustainability and institutional development of the organization
  • Contribute expertise, insight, and professional experience to Board discussions
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization where appropriate
  • Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement strategies for growth and development
  • Participate in regular Board meetings and provide updates on key initiatives
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization
