You will work closely with the C10 Labs team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the AI landscape and contribute to the growth of their portfolio.

The role is designed for students who are passionate about AI, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about building relationships with founders and entrepreneurs. You will have the chance to attend AI-related events, meetups, and demo days, expanding your network and staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and research early-stage AI startups and emerging technology trends across various sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, student builders, accelerators, incubators, labs, and academic programs
  • Attend AI-related events, hackathons, meetups, and demo days to expand your network and stay current on new developments
  • Conduct initial diligence on opportunities, including product, market, team, and technical approach
  • Share concise write-ups with the C10 Labs team, providing clear and structured insights and recommendations
  • Track relevant developments in the AI ecosystem, including notable launches, funding rounds, and acquisitions
  • Act as a point of contact for founders, helping them understand how C10 Labs can support them
  • Nurture long-term relationships with standout founders that may lead to future collaborations or investments

What We Are Looking For

  • Current full-time student at an accredited university (undergraduate or graduate) with at least one semester remaining
  • Genuine interest in meeting people from diverse backgrounds and connecting builders with resources
  • Analytical skills: ability to evaluate early business opportunities, size markets, and ask sharp questions during founder conversations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex technical ideas in a clear, concise way
  • Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and consistently surfacing new opportunities
  • Bonus: experience in AI/ML (courses, projects, research, hackathons) or involvement in startup/VC/AI clubs

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in venture scouting or a related field
  • Familiarity with the AI ecosystem, including key players, trends, and technologies
  • Strong network of contacts in the startup and AI communities

Benefits and Perks

  • Front-row seat to some of the most innovative early-stage AI companies in the world
  • Chance to collaborate with and learn from exceptional founders and builders
  • Exposure to real-world AI products, go-to-market strategies, and venture decision-making
  • Access to the broader C10 community, including curated events, activities, and learning sessions
  • Personalized feedback and mentorship from the C10 Labs team
  • Opportunity to extend the role beyond the initial semester by mutual interest
  • Flexible time commitment, approximately 3-5 hours per week, accommodating academic obligations

How to Stand Out

  • To stand out, highlight any experience or coursework related to AI, entrepreneurship, or venture scouting in your application.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the AI ecosystem, including key trends, technologies, and players, to demonstrate your expertise.
  • Prepare to discuss your network and how you plan to leverage it to identify promising startups and founders.
  • Be ready to provide specific examples of your analytical skills, such as evaluating business opportunities or sizing markets.
  • Consider creating a portfolio or blog to showcase your knowledge and interests in AI and entrepreneurship.
  • Research C10 Labs and their investment portfolio to understand their focus and how you can contribute to their goals.
