About the Role
The Unix Infrastructure Engineer position at Lennor Group is a critical role that supports the company's ongoing projects and services, ensuring the high quality of IT services. This involves designing and implementing solutions, managing storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS), and maintaining system integrity and quality. The role is part of a team that works closely together to achieve common goals, with a focus on collaboration and excellence in IT service delivery.Day-to-day, the Unix Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for providing primary support for all Linux servers, including Red Hat, Centos, Ubuntu, and AIX, across a 24/7/365 schedule. This includes monitoring UNIX systems, designing and implementing solutions to improve system performance, and maintaining and adapting server software and system components throughout their lifecycle.

What You Will Do
- Provide 24/7/365 primary support for all RedHat Linux, Centos, Ubuntu, and AIX servers.
- Monitor UNIX systems to identify potential issues before they become critical.
- Design and implement solutions to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Manage and maintain storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS).
- Ensure system integrity and quality through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Maintain and adapt server software and system components throughout their lifecycle.
- Participate in In Place Upgrade and Tech refresh projects to keep IT systems up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of IT services.
- Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems and processes.
- Automate tasks using Shell scripts, Ansible, and other automation tools.
- Handle hardware failure cases and perform patching and vulnerability management.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10+ years of technical experience in operating systems, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and other Linux distributions.
- Experience with In Place Upgrade and Tech refresh projects.
- Knowledge of ITIL and Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with Ansible Tower, Centrify, Veritas, and BMC software.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and/or experience in DevOps teams.
- Good scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or other programming languages.
- Knowledge and experience with VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, SAN storage technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Certification in Linux administration or a related field.
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
