About the Role

The Urology Clinical Account Executive role at Tempus is a unique opportunity to drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities in the urology sector. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to gain and retain new and existing clients. Your primary focus will be on major urology groups and clinics, as well as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) within the specified territory.

The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure successful attainment of company goals and objectives. You will be expected to provide critical insights and feedback to Tempus leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making and driving business growth.

Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients at the right time. As a Urology Clinical Account Executive, you will be at the forefront of this revolution, working with clients to implement laboratory services agreements (LSAs) and promote the adoption of Tempus' molecular information tools.

What You Will Do

  • Drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major urology groups and clinics
  • Develop and execute detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clients
  • Structure and negotiate client-bill contracting opportunities
  • Implement laboratory services agreements (LSAs) with billable institutions
  • Collaborate and coordinate with all sales positions to ensure successful attainment of company goals and objectives
  • Identify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective oncology clients and Tempus
  • Promote and drive compliance with new web-based molecular information tools for all clients
  • Continually analyze the competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts
  • Determine trends and provide customer feedback to Tempus leadership
  • Monitor performance of sales to ensure objectives are met
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to provide an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution using Tempus' sequencing technology
  • Experience in consultative selling, with a strong ability to overcome objections and connect client needs with Tempus' capabilities
  • Strong understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in the oncology and diagnostic space
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
  • Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape
  • Experience in selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO)
  • Ability to engage in a consultative selling process and connect client needs with Tempus' capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
