About the Role
The Pharmacy Account Executive role at PointClickCare is a pivotal position focused on driving revenue growth by selling digital solutions to key accounts within the Northeast US and Canadian markets. This role is critical in not only introducing new products and services to existing and potential customers but also in strengthening relationships with these clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales, preferably within the healthcare or pharmacy sector, and will be adept at navigating complex sales environments.As a key member of the sales team, the Pharmacy Account Executive will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy Sales and other stakeholders to achieve sales objectives. The role involves a significant amount of communication, both internally and externally, requiring the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
The day-to-day activities of this role are fast-paced and demanding, requiring a high level of organization, independence, and diligence. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and will be comfortable with the demands of generating sales leads, managing a pipeline, and closing deals over the phone.
What You Will Do
- Identify and cultivate effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals in the designated territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure consistent value delivery and realize upsell opportunities.
- Conduct needs analysis to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Engage in outbound sales activities to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure seamless post-launch support and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Design and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue growth, including setting and managing action items.
- Manage and resolve complex transactional operations and issues.
- Leverage detailed knowledge of PointClickCare’s products, programs, and services to communicate complementary add-on and cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Participate in training and coaching other Inside Sales Representatives as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in Healthcare or Pharmacy sales, with a preference for candidates with a background in software sales.
- Proven ability to engage customers, build relationships quickly, and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced sales environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CRM software and strong data management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new products, services, and sales strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
