About the Role
As a Usability Rapid Researcher at Reddit, you will be an integral part of the user experience team, responsible for leading usability-focused research studies that inform product design and strategy. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to identify user needs and behaviors. - Design and execute unmoderated, moderated usability testing, and user interviews through a rapid research program.
- Lead communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners, including design, product management, engineers, and product marketing.
- Scope and prioritize usability projects with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective research outcomes.
- Work quickly to turn around high-quality research insights that drive business and product impact.
- Develop research deliverables that achieve business and product goals, such as research reports, presentations, and design recommendations.
- Assist other researchers with projects as needed, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Conduct research using a variety of methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights on user behavior and needs.
- Analyze and interpret research data, identifying trends and patterns that inform product design and strategy.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience conducting user research, with a focus on usability and user experience.
- BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Behavioral Science, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience within a product-centric environment.
- Strong understanding of research design, qualitative analysis, and user-centered design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
- Experience with remote research methods and tools, such as online surveys and usability testing software.
