You will be working closely with other Utility Locators, as well as with clients and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

What You Will Do
- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
- Use specialized equipment, including electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar, to identify and mark underground utilities.
- Work independently in the field, using a company-provided vehicle, to complete locate requests.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reporting, including photos and notes, to ensure that projects are well-documented and that lessons are learned for future projects.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, technologies, and industry developments.
- Work closely with other Utility Locators and team members to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during projects.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certification in a related field is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Experience with specialized equipment, including electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently in the field, with minimal supervision, and to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately mark and document underground utilities.
- Physical aptitude, with the ability to lift and carry equipment, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to operate a company-provided vehicle.
