Job Description

About the Role

As a UX Designer at Guidehouse, you will play a pivotal role in leading user-centered design for web and mobile applications, primarily serving health and public-sector clients. Your primary focus will be on translating research and product goals into intuitive and accessible interfaces. This role is crucial in ensuring that the digital products developed by Guidehouse are not only aesthetically pleasing but also provide a seamless user experience. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.

Day-to-day, you will engage in planning and conducting user research and usability testing, both remotely and in-person, to gather valuable insights. These insights will then be synthesized and used to iterate on designs, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility. Your work will involve creating wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, interactive prototypes, and detailed interaction specifications using industry-standard tools like Figma or Adobe XD.

The role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and content strategists, to define requirements, align on priorities, and ensure that designs are implemented as intended. Furthermore, you will contribute to and maintain component libraries and design systems to promote consistency, scalability, and efficient delivery across projects. Advocating for accessibility and inclusive design throughout the design process and validating accessibility during testing and handoff is also a key part of this role.
