About the Role

The Vice President, Medicare Market Southeast, plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and performance of assigned Medicare markets within the Southeast region. This executive position requires a unique blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership acumen to navigate the complexities of the healthcare industry. As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President will be responsible for developing and executing market-specific strategies that drive enterprise goals in membership, earnings, quality, network performance, provider experience, and compliance.

The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, build strong internal and external partnerships, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a strong ability to communicate,build culture, and drive disciplined execution. With a focus on Medicare markets, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of communities across the Southeast region.

Reporting to senior leadership, the Vice President will be accountable for the P&L management of assigned markets, including clinical, financial, and operational performance. This will involve developing market-specific strategic operating plans, leading expansion and performance of value-based care initiatives, and providing leadership direction to innovate and improve business performance.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute market-specific strategies to drive enterprise goals in membership, earnings, quality, network performance, provider experience, and compliance.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and build strong internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Drive operational excellence through disciplined execution and a focus on results.
  • Lead the expansion and performance of value-based care initiatives.
  • Provide leadership direction and vision to innovate and improve business performance.
  • Monitor and analyze the changing landscape and recommend strategies to proactively address market needs.
  • Drive quality initiatives aligned with STAR outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Build collaborative and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify strategic approaches to drive business growth and differentiate products in assigned markets.
  • Work collaboratively with product, shared services, and market leaders to ensure enterprise-wide expectations are met.
  • Provide effective leadership to direct and matrixed teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in cross-functional initiatives.
  • More than 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, and/or product development.
  • Proven track record of identifying and driving growth-enabling strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in business development through forging strategic alliances and partnerships.
  • Experience with Adjust and Excel.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex market dynamics and drive operational excellence.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in Medicare markets.
  • Knowledge of value-based care initiatives and quality improvement strategies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Certification in healthcare administration or a related field.
