About the Role
The Vice President of Operations at Vestcom will play a critical role in driving the company's strategic direction and vision for its operations and customer experience teams. This seasoned leader will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products on time, while also fostering a culture of safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. As a key member of the Vestcom leadership team, this individual will work closely with the VP & General Manager to drive business results and achieve long-term goals.The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail and consumer goods industries, as well as experience in managing complex operations and supply chain functions. They will be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement innovative solutions to drive business growth and improvement. With a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork, this leader will be able to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development teams.
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for leading a team of experienced professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team is equipped to meet the evolving needs of the business. This will involve staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational excellence and improve customer experience
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, including supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Foster a culture of safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, partners, and customers
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Identify and mitigate risks to the business, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, and market fluctuations
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement customer-focused solutions and services
What We Are Looking For
- 12+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or a related field, with a proven track record of success
- Strong understanding of the retail and consumer goods industries, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Experience in managing complex operations and supply chain functions, including logistics, manufacturing, and distribution
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop insights to drive business decisions
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma
