About the Role
The Vice President of Paid Media at Directive is a leadership role that oversees aThe role requires a deep understanding of paid media strategies, programmatic campaigns, and creative execution. The Vice President will operate as a leader of leaders, ensuring quality at critical points in the client lifecycle and developing Associate Directors into strong operators and quality owners.
The Vice President will be responsible for defining what 'good' looks like and reinforcing that standard consistently across teams. This will involve establishing clear operating cadences, coaching Associate Directors on how to evaluate work and give actionable feedback, and calibrating quality standards across teams.
What You Will Do
- Review strategy and challenge thinking to ensure output meets standards before reaching clients
- Inspect early strategy and planning across Paid Media, Programmatic, and Creative
- Validate alignment on success metrics and expectations for priority clients
- Spot-check patterns and coach on communication quality
- Review output for clarity and linkage to business outcomes
- Pressure-test decks and attend priority or at-risk accounts
- Ensure strategy evolves based on data, not inertia
- Support or co-lead for key accounts
- Partner on renewal strategy for priority clients
- Establish clear operating cadences, including reviews, escalations, and ownership
- Coach Associate Directors on how to evaluate work and give actionable feedback
- Calibrate quality standards across teams
- Hold Associate Directors accountable for client health and delivery quality
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in paid media, programmatic, or creative leadership roles
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful paid media strategies
- Strong understanding of programmatic and creative campaigns
- Experience leading and managing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to define and reinforce quality standards across teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with P&L management and commercial ownership
- Strong understanding of client relationship management and account growth
Nice to Have
- Experience with sales-to-ops handoff and kickoff processes
- Knowledge of North Star Metrics and monthly recurring revenue retention
- Familiarity with quarterly business reviews and annual business reviews
