About the Role

The Vice President of People Operations at KIPP Foundation plays a critical leadership role in designing and driving an integrated, insights-driven talent strategy. This involves connecting every part of the employee experience, from talent attraction and onboarding to development, engagement, and retention. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Vice President of People Operations and work closely with the leadership team to set a high bar for excellence, strengthen leadership capacity, and ensure talent systems are clear, consistent, and scalable.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include developing and implementing strategic plans for talent management, overseeing the performance management process, and ensuring that all human resources operations are aligned with the organization's mission and vision. What You Will Do

  • Design and implement a comprehensive talent strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Develop and manage the operational budget for people operations, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Oversee the recruitment process to attract top talent, ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work culture.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of People Operations to set organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the performance management process, including setting performance metrics and providing feedback.
  • Develop and implement strategies for employee retention and development, including training programs and career advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Analyze data and metrics to inform talent management decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations to stay abreast of best practices in talent management and HR operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in human resources, operations management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent management strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR operations.
  • Experience with performance management software and HR information systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decisions.
