About the Role

The Vice President of People Operations is a critical leadership role at KIPP Foundation, responsible for designing and driving an integrated talent strategy that connects every part of the employee experience. This leader will play a key role in building a talent system that enables every leader and staff member to thrive in service of students and communities. The role entails working closely with the Senior Vice President of People Operations to ensure that systems support leaders and empower them to deliver meaningful results.

The Vice President of People Operations will be part of a team that values excellence, collective impact, and courageous action. The role requires a deep understanding of the education sector, talent management, and leadership development.

The Vice President of People Operations will report to the Senior Vice President of People Operations and will be responsible for aligning the full talent lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, Total Rewards, professional development, and offboarding.

What You Will Do

  • Design and drive an integrated talent strategy that connects every part of the employee experience
  • Align the full talent lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, Total Rewards, professional development, and offboarding
  • Develop and implement systems to support leaders and empower them to deliver meaningful results
  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of People Operations to ensure that systems support leaders and empower them to deliver meaningful results
  • Analyze data to inform talent strategy and drive decision-making
  • Develop and manage budgets to support talent initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders, staff, and external partners
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the organization's talent management strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent management and leadership development

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 10 years of experience in talent management, HR, or a related field
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing talent strategies that drive business results
  • Expertise in Excel and data analysis
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams and developing talent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of the education sector and the complexities of talent management in this field
  • Experience with HR systems and technology
