The Vice President, Senior Backend Developer role at Galaxy is a unique opportunity to design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable software back-end that powers web and mobile applications for a new product offering. As a senior backend developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Galaxy's platforms, collaborating with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality solutions. As a Vice President, Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in driving the architecture of Galaxy's product offerings and supporting the company's mission to innovate in the crypto economy.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases that support the business's web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features and services
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions that meet fintech industry standards and handle high transaction volumes
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including code reviews and automated testing frameworks
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in back-end development, blockchain, and fintech
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that the code is of high quality, readable, and well-documented
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure that the back-end systems are properly deployed and configured
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development and deployment process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve Galaxy's products and services
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on designing and developing scalable software back-end
- Strong expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based technologies
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
- Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with blockchain and digital asset innovation
