About the Role
Launch Potato, a leading digital media company, is seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join their team in Guatemala. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating engaging short-form video content for various social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Your primary goal will be to elevate ad performance, drive consumer engagement, and contribute to the company's mission of connecting consumers with top brands through data-driven content and technology.The ideal candidate will have a sharp creative sense, excellent editing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in short-form content and apply your knowledge to drive optimization and growth.

What You Will Do
- Edit high-quality, user-generated content (UGC) style video ads for various platforms
- Develop innovative ideas to drive optimization and elevate ad performance
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to conceptualize and produce video content
- Create pre-packaging concepts, including title and thumbnail ideas for videos
- Record a-roll, b-roll, and other UGC-style content from time to time
- Leverage AI tools to create concepts from scratch and enhance existing content
- Stay on top of trends in short-form content, including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
- Communicate effectively with the team through Slack, ensuring speed and clarity in your messages
- Analyze performance data to inform future content decisions and optimize results
- Contribute to the development of new hooks, b-roll, and other creative assets
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in video editing, preferably in a digital media or advertising environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other editing software
- Experience with AI tools like ArcAds, VEO, Nano Banana, or Claude
- Deep understanding of short-form content, including hooks, storytelling, pacing, and strategy
- Proven success in creating engaging short-form content that drives consumer engagement and positive ROI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams
- Basic understanding of paid advertising KPIs and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to adapt to change
- Passion for developing eye-catching, creative assets that drive consumer engagement

- Knowledge of additional AI tools or editing software
- Certification in video editing or a related field
