About the Role
As a Vietnamese Interpreter at Kreato Global, you will be responsible for providing accurate and consecutive interpretation services, primarily in medical settings. Your role will be crucial in facilitating communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and families. You will be part of a 100% remote team, working closely with other interpreters and support staff to ensure seamless communication.The role of a Vietnamese Interpreter is multifaceted, requiring not only language expertise but also a deep understanding of medical terminology and cultural nuances. What You Will Do
- Provide accurate and consecutive interpretation services in Vietnamese and English
- Facilitate communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Utilize digital platforms to deliver interpretation services remotely
- Collaborate with other interpreters and support staff to ensure seamless communication
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of medical terminology and cultural nuances
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Adhere to HIPAA and FWA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems efficiently
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation
What We Are Looking For
- 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation
- Complete mastery of medical and customer service terminology
- English proficiency with a minimum C1 fluency (valid certifications from EF SET, TOEFL, or CAE accepted)
- Interpretation certification or ability to pass a terminology and interpreter skills evaluation
- Compliance with HIPAA and FWA regulations (certifications or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in a 100% remote environment with a hardwired Ethernet connection
- High-quality, noise-canceling USB headset and minimum Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quick thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience with Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services
- Familiarity with digital platforms and tools used in remote interpretation
- Knowledge of additional languages or dialects
- Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
