About the Role
The Virtual Apron Support Specialist Millwork role is a unique opportunity to combine customer service skills with in-depth knowledge of millwork products. As part of the Services Operations Contact Center team, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that customers receive the best possible support for their project needs. The Virtual Apron team is innovative and multi-faceted, providing support to both online and in-store customers, making this role an exciting challenge for those who enjoy variety and problem-solving.Day-to-day, the Virtual Apron Support Specialist will engage with customers through various channels, including inbound calls and online inquiries. The ability to understand and address customer needs, provide consultative selling, and navigate the online configurator tool are key aspects of this position. The role also involves working closely with vendors and stores to expedite customer projects, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
The Virtual Apron Support Specialist reports to the Contact Center Supervisor and is part of a dynamic team that values customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. What You Will Do
- Provide exceptional customer service through inbound calls, online chats, and other communication channels
- Utilize the online configurator tool to assist customers with door and window solutions and product customization
- Engage in consultative selling to drive sales and contribute to personal and team sales goals
- Follow up with vendors and stores on customer projects to ensure timely completion
- Make outbound calls to follow up on online requests and in-store leads
- Obtain payment and assist with order status inquiries
- Qualify new customers seeking to customize millwork products and generate new leads
- Warm transfer leads to a Virtual Design Specialist for further consultation and design support
- Leverage deep product and process expertise to help customers navigate both simple and complex orders
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high-quality customer experience and operational efficiency
What We Are Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or call center environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, and resolve grievances with internal and external customers
- Consultative selling experience and the ability to drive sales through customer engagement
- Passion for providing excellent customer service to meet customer needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a remote team

- Previous Millwork product and sales experience
- Advanced knowledge of door and window design and installation
- Experience with design and retail, specialty retail, outside sales, or trade
