The Virtual Medical Receptionist will be working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and administrative support. The role involves handling inbound and outbound patient calls, scheduling appointments, and managing provider calendars and appointment availability.
What You Will Do
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and efficiently
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Manage provider calendars and appointment availability
- Assist with patient registration and demographic updates
- Document patient communications and scheduling notes within the EMR
- Support patient follow-up and care coordination activities
- Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism during all patient interactions
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
What We Are Looking For
- Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Scheduler, or Medical Administrative Assistant
- Experience handling high-volume patient calls
- Strong appointment scheduling and calendar management experience
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong professional phone presence
- Experience with Epic and/or Acumen EMR (Preferred)

- Patient registration and intake experience
- Insurance verification experience
- Experience in Nephrology, Dialysis, Specialty Practices, or Multi-Provider Scheduling environments
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures
