About the Role
As a middle Android software engineer at Software Mind, you'll be working on a project that aims to reform the national gaming system. The company's mission is to provide games responsibly, mitigate gambling-related risks, and ensure player protection while preventing fraud. You'll be part of a team that emphasizes operating responsibly and contributing to a safe and secure gaming environment.Day-to-day, you'll be defining and maintaining high standards for architecture, performance, and code quality within the Android team. You'll also be driving mobile development excellence with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and integration with cloud-based infrastructure. Your expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack components will be crucial in ensuring scalable, testable, and maintainable Android solutions.
The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in English-speaking environments. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the company's mission and values.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain high-quality Android apps using Kotlin
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability of Android solutions
- Apply clean architecture principles to drive mobile development excellence
- Consume and integrate RESTful APIs for data exchange
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development
What We Are Looking For
- 3-4+ years of hands-on experience in Android development using Kotlin
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack components, Android Studio, and Gradle
- Proficiency in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
- Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in English-speaking environments (minimum B2+ level)
- Experience with mobile DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud integration
- Strong understanding of clean architecture principles
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile gaming development
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and integration
- Familiarity with Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Certification in Android development or a related field
