About the Role
The Voice AI Research Participant role at mercor is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI technology. As a participant, you will be working closely with the AI research team to provide valuable feedback and insights that will help shape the future of voice AI. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about AI and are looking to gain experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve making phone calls to a voice assistant, addressing real-life questions and scenarios, and providing feedback on the assistant's performance. You will be working remotely, with a commitment of 2-3 hours per week, and will have the flexibility to schedule your calls at a time that suits you.

What You Will Do
- Make phone calls to a voice assistant, addressing real-life questions and scenarios
- Provide feedback on the assistant's performance, highlighting areas for improvement
- Complete a short survey after each call, providing insights and suggestions
- Ensure calls last between 5-15 minutes, ending naturally
- Share feedback to improve the voice assistant's performance
- Address real questions from your life, in areas such as health, work, learning, and practical inquiries
- Work collaboratively with the AI research team to provide valuable insights and feedback
- Participate in a remote and flexible work environment, with a commitment of 2-3 hours per week
What We Are Looking For
- Must be 18+ years old and located in Nigeria
- Comfortable speaking English
- Willing to consent to call recording for evaluation purposes
- Feature phone user, or smartphone user with limited or no data plan
- Limited or no prior experience with AI assistants
- A mix of genders and rural/urban locations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Prior experience with AI technology or research
- Familiarity with voice assistants and their applications
- Experience working in a remote or flexible work environment
