About the Role
The Vice President of Creative at Kanahoma is a senior leadership position that requires a unique blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, and operational expertise. As the head of the creative department, this individual will be responsible for defining the agency's creative vision and leading a multidisciplinary team of copywriters, designers, and videographers. The role entails developing and implementing creative strategies that drive business results, managing and mentoring a team of creatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions. The VP Creative will report directly to the CEO and will be instrumental in shaping the agency's creative direction and overseeing the entire creative services product. This includes developing new creative capabilities, services, and frameworks that strengthen the agency's competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the intersection of creativity, brand strategy, performance marketing, AI, and emerging technology. - Develop and implement creative strategies that drive business results for Kanahoma's clients
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of creatives, including copywriters, designers, and videographers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, paid media, SEO, and account services, to deliver integrated marketing solutions
- Oversee the development of new creative capabilities, services, and frameworks that strengthen the agency's competitive advantage
- Manage and mentor junior creatives, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow and develop in their roles
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans to ensure creative projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop scopes of work and growth opportunities for new and existing clients
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement agency-wide creative strategies and initiatives
- Serve as the executive creative lead on key client accounts, providing strategic guidance and creative direction
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the creative industry, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence within the agency
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in a digital marketing agency
- Proven track record of developing and implementing creative strategies that drive business results
- Strong understanding of the intersection of creativity, brand strategy, performance marketing, AI, and emerging technology
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of creatives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with budget management, timeline development, and resource allocation
- Strong portfolio that showcases creative excellence and strategic thinking
- Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana or Trello
- Strong understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the creative industry
