About the Role

The VP Marketing role at Gorgias is a unique opportunity to lead the marketing efforts of a company that is revolutionizing the way customers interact with brands. The company's conversational commerce platform is used by over 16,000 merchants worldwide, and the company has recently expanded its product offerings to include an AI-powered shopping assistant. As the VP Marketing, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth and expansion into new markets.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives growth and adoption of the company's conversational commerce platform
  • Define clear, differentiated positioning and messaging across the Gorgias product portfolio
  • Educate merchants on why they should invest in conversational commerce now, and how to do it
  • Partner with Product and Sales to launch new products and capabilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team that is capable of driving category-defining success
  • Develop and manage the company's marketing budget to ensure effective use of resources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on GTM strategies and Excel
  • Proven track record of driving growth and adoption of new products and technologies
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce and conversational commerce markets
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and customer success
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity
  • Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with AI-powered marketing tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and conversational commerce platforms
  • Experience working with remote teams and managing distributed marketing efforts
