About the Role

The VP Marketing at Gorgias will spearhead the company's marketing efforts, focusing on crafting and distributing the narrative of its Conversational Commerce platform. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for translating product innovation into market impact, making Gorgias synonymous with AI-driven customer and sales conversations. Your mission will involve defining clear, differentiated positioning and messaging across the Gorgias product portfolio and educating merchants on the value of investing in Conversational Commerce.

Gorgias has built the #1 helpdesk for Shopify, powering over 16,000 merchants worldwide. The company is now expanding its AI agent to help brands sell, support, and engage customers through conversations. With over

01.5 million in funding, Gorgias is poised for significant growth. As the VP Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in this expansion, working closely with the product and sales teams to launch new products and capabilities.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the product, its value proposition, and the market it operates in. They will be collaborative, curious, and empathetic, with the ability to work with a global team and customer base.

What You Will Do

  • Define clear, differentiated positioning and messaging across the Gorgias product portfolio
  • Educate merchants on why they should invest in Conversational Commerce now and how to do it
  • Partner with Product and Sales to launch new products and capabilities
  • Build our content engine to power enablement, storytelling, and thought leadership
  • Distribute our product narrative through the 100+ events we organize each year, including our customer conference
  • Develop and execute GTM acceleration strategies
  • Own the narrative and positioning of Gorgias' Conversational Commerce platform
  • Translate product innovation into market impact
  • Make Gorgias synonymous with AI-driven customer and sales conversations
  • Define the category, craft the story, and drive adoption across all segments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in the tech or ecommerce industry
  • Proven track record of success in launching and scaling marketing initiatives
  • Deep understanding of GTM strategies and Excel proficiency
  • Experience in educating merchants on innovative technologies
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce landscape and conversational commerce trends
  • Experience with AI-driven marketing technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms
