About the Role

As a VP Marketing at Gorgias, you will be at the forefront of shaping the company's narrative and positioning in the Conversational Commerce space. Your mission will be to make Gorgias synonymous with AI-driven customer and sales conversations, defining the category and driving adoption across all segments. You will work closely with the Product and Sales teams to launch new products and capabilities, building a content engine that powers enablement, storytelling, and thought leadership.

Gorgias is a unified AI agent that sells, supports, and re-engages customers across the entire journey, making shopping feel more natural, human, and connected than ever before. The company has already made significant strides in the industry, powering over 16,000 merchants worldwide and expanding its AI agent to help shoppers find what they want.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive growth and adoption of Gorgias' Conversational Commerce platform
  • Define clear, differentiated positioning and messaging across the Gorgias product portfolio
  • Partner with Product and Sales to launch new products and capabilities
  • Build and manage a content engine to power enablement, storytelling, and thought leadership
  • Distribute the product narrative through events, including the customer conference
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to develop sales enablement materials and training programs
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget to ensure effective use of resources
  • Hire and manage a team of marketing professionals to support the company's growth

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on product marketing and GTM strategies
  • Proven track record of success in defining and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and adoption
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce and AI industries, with a focus on conversational commerce
  • Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to hire and manage a team of marketing professionals
  • Passion for educating merchants on the benefits of conversational commerce
  • Experience with content creation and storytelling

Nice to Have

  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM principles
  • Experience with event marketing and management
  • Familiarity with Shopify and other ecommerce platforms
