About the Role
The Vice President of Engineering at Sureify is a pivotal leadership position that oversees the global engineering organization. This role is critical in driving the technical excellence, operational efficiency, and high-performance culture necessary for the company's continued growth and success. The VP of Engineering will report directly to the SVP of Product Development and will be responsible for leading teams across the USA, India, and Latin America, ensuring that the engineering culture is shaped and scaled effectively as the company grows into a mature, global organization.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve strategic planning, team management, and technical oversight to ensure that all product engineering efforts are aligned with the company's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, execution-oriented leader who can drive results through effective leadership and technical expertise.
As a leader in the engineering organization, this role will play a key part in the evolution of Sureify's next-generation cloud-based platform for digitally-delivered life insurance. What You Will Do
- Lead the global engineering organization across multiple geographic regions, including the USA, India, and Latin America.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive technical excellence and operational efficiency within the engineering teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture that promotes innovation, quality, and speed in the delivery of engineering projects.
- Oversee the development of Sureify's cloud-based platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineering leaders, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Ensure that the engineering organization is scaled appropriately to meet the growing demands of the business, through hiring, training, and development of engineering talent.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment, ensuring that the engineering teams follow industry-leading standards.
- Analyze and mitigate technical risks, ensuring that the engineering teams are aware of and prepared for potential challenges.
- Represent the engineering organization in executive-level discussions, providing technical insights and strategic recommendations.
