About the Role
The VP of Product and Partnerships at uConnect is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between strategic vision and product reality. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position requires a seasoned professional who can define and drive a clear, prioritized roadmap, leading the full product lifecycle from discovery through delivery. The successful candidate will own the development and grooming of specific product requirements and communicate roadmap direction clearly across the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), engineering, and customer-facing teams.As a key member of the uConnect team, the VP of Product and Partnerships will inform the roadmap by developing a deep understanding of customers and market dynamics. This involves running focus groups, user interviews, customer testing, and structured beta programs, combining direct customer engagement with a working knowledge of the higher education and workforce ecosystem, strategic buyers, and technology trends.

What You Will Do
- Partner closely with the CEO to translate product vision into a clear, sequenced roadmap with defined milestones, priorities, and success metrics.
- Own the development and grooming of specific product requirements and communicate roadmap direction clearly across the ELT, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
- Inform the roadmap by developing a deep understanding of customers and market dynamics, including running focus groups, user interviews, customer testing, and structured beta programs.
- Combine direct customer engagement with a working knowledge of the higher education and workforce ecosystem, strategic buyers, and technology trends to make sharp, well-grounded prioritization decisions.
- Own all aspects of uConnect's partnership strategy, including content partnerships and platform integrations, to extend uConnect's value to students and institutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with content providers, technology partners, and integration vendors.
- Serve as a strong internal communicator and product champion, supporting Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales with product messaging, value pitch development, and internal enablement.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering leadership on planning, scope, sequencing, and delivery, defining requirements and communicating priorities clearly.
- Drive product monetization strategies, partnering with Finance and the CEO on packaging, pricing, and feature tiering.
- Own the product roadmap for AI-powered features and develop a clear vision for leveraging AI internally across product and design operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Seasoned product leader with experience in ed-tech or a related field, preferably with a deep understanding of the higher education market.
- Strong background in GTM strategy and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive product decisions.
- Proven track record of building and executing product roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Experience with product monetization strategies, including packaging, pricing, and feature tiering.
