About the Role

The VP of Product at Toptal's HireGlobal platform is a unique opportunity to lead the product vision and strategy for a cutting-edge global payroll and contractor management solution. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the product roadmap, scaling the Product team, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver a world-class platform.

The role entails day-to-day leadership of the Product team, including setting the direction, driving alignment across teams, and guiding the development of both external and internal operational tech stacks. You will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, translating company goals into product objectives that drive growth, automation, and user experience.

As a leader in a fully remote company, you will be expected to foster a culture of ownership, clarity, and high standards, enabling your team to do their best work. You will also partner closely with other teams to ensure product decisions reflect stakeholder input and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for HireGlobal across global payments, onboarding, billing, and worker experiences.
  • Translate company goals into product objectives that drive growth, automation, and world-class user experience.
  • Lead prioritization across teams, ensuring high-impact initiatives are clearly scoped and aligned with business goals.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to increase product velocity, stability, and technical quality.
  • Establish a repeatable, data-driven product delivery model that supports rapid iteration and continuous improvement.
  • Enable the team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to do their best work.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, high standards, and customer-centric thinking.
  • Coach and mentor team members, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Establish objectives and initiatives for the team, recommend the team’s structure and jobs, and organize, assign, delegate, oversee, and monitor work.
  • Partner deeply with Operations, Compliance/Legal, Finance, Support, Sales, and Engineering to ensure product decisions reflect stakeholder input and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish credibility and trusted relationships across teams, balancing business needs with technical and compliance constraints.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in product leadership, with a strong track record of delivering successful products.
  • Proven expertise in product strategy, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll and contractor management solutions, with experience in payments, onboarding, billing, and worker experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in data-driven product delivery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance constraints.
