About the Role
The VP People Operations is a critical role at Machinify, overseeing the company's human resources function and driving digital transformation through the implementation of Workday. As the HR brain behind the Workday rollout, this professional will work closely with the Enterprise Apps team to design systems that people want to use. With Machinify's recent consolidation of policies, processes, and structures across five acquired companies, this role will play a key part in shaping the company's HR framework.The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the requirements of the Workday system, shaping module design with internal experts, and ensuring that managers and employees understand and adopt the new platform. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of HR operations and the ability to drive process mapping, automation, and AI enablement.

What You Will Do
- Lead the Workday implementation effort, working closely with the Enterprise Apps team to design and deploy the system
- Define the requirements of the Workday system, ensuring that it meets the needs of the business and HR function
- Shape module design with internal experts, ensuring that the system is user-friendly and adopts a HALLMARK of simplicity
- Develop and implement process maps, automating and enabling AI where possible
- Collaborate with managers and employees to ensure understanding and adoption of the new platform
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the Workday implementation
- Develop and manage budgets for the HR function, ensuring effective use of resources
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in HR operations
- Collaborate with other teams, such as IT and finance, to ensure alignment and effective use of resources

What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in HR operations, with a focus on digital transformation and HRIS implementation
- Proven experience with Workday implementation, or similar HRIS systems
- Strong understanding of HR processes and functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and performance management
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with process mapping, automation, and AI enablement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive innovation and improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on simplicity and user experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with other HRIS systems, such as BambooHR or Namely
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning, and their application in HR operations
- Experience with data analytics and visualization, with the ability to drive insights and recommendations
- Certification in HR, such as SHRM or HRCI
