About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Software Mind, you'll be part of a vibrant team working on a project that aims to revolutionize the asset-based lending industry. Your primary focus will be on developing high-quality, production-ready code using Python (Flask) and collaborating with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration. This role is not just about coding; it's about understanding customer needs, ensuring accurate system integration, and driving process improvements to enhance onboarding efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Given the nature of the project, which involves working closely with a U.S. client that processes over

8 billion in transactions annually, you'll be expected to have a strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across multiple teams. The dynamic environment requires flexibility, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with a certain level of autonomy.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage the customer onboarding process to understand customer needs and ensure accurate system integration.
  • Drive process improvement by developing best practices and identifying opportunities to enhance onboarding efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients on specific configurations and customizations to meet their unique needs.
  • Manage and execute development tasks related to onboarding new clients, leveraging a modern tech stack including Python/Flask, NextJS/React, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure the highest quality of the codebase.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and propose innovative solutions to improve the platform.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to help the team and future developers understand the codebase.
  • Ensure that all development tasks are completed in accordance with the company's coding standards and best practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 4+ years of experience as a backend software engineer with a strong focus on Python (Flask).
  • Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL and familiarity with other database systems.
  • Experience in frontend development using React.
  • Strong knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with SQL for basic data queries and analysis.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn and improve through feedback from team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for additional data handling and analysis.
