About the Role
The Waiver Processing Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring that all waiver applications and related documentation meet organizational, regulatory, and program requirements. This role is part of a team that provides administrative support to clients, providers, and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day, the assistant will review large amounts of data, track waiver requests, and communicate with applicants and service providers.As a key member of the team, the Waiver Processing Assistant will work closely with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with established guidelines. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
- Review waiver applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines
- Enter, update, and maintain applicant information in databases and case management systems
- Track waiver requests through various stages of the approval process and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Communicate with applicants, service providers, and internal departments regarding application status, requirements, and corrections
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of approval, denial, and request-for-information notices
- Maintain confidential records in accordance with organizational policies and applicable privacy regulations
- Identify discrepancies or missing information and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner
- Generate reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents as needed
- Support audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance activities
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to waiver programs and services
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of administrative, clerical, data entry, or customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

- Experience with data entry and case management systems
