About the Role

The Web Developer & AI Specialist role at Remote VA is a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background to design, develop, and maintain advanced web applications while integrating artificial intelligence solutions. This role requires creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be part of a cross-functional team and will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into web platforms. As a Web Developer & AI Specialist, you will be working on a wide range of projects, from developing and maintaining web applications using Next.js and other modern frameworks to implementing and optimizing AI-driven features. You will also be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing containerized applications using Docker and collaborating with the team to integrate AI solutions into web platforms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including Claude code, GitHub, and PostgreSQL, and will be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in web development and AI to propose innovative solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js and other modern frameworks
  • Implement and optimize AI-driven features, including automation workflows and Claude code integrations
  • Design, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into web platforms
  • Manage version control, code reviews, and collaborative development using GitHub
  • Design and maintain relational databases with PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in web development and AI to propose innovative solutions
  • Participate in the planning and development of new projects
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development
  • Demonstrated experience in AI integration and automation projects
  • Proficiency in Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Claude code and AI-driven automation tools
  • Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and deployment
  • Expertise in GitHub workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative coding practices
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and management
  • Analytical problem-solving and debugging skills
