About the Role
As a WordPress Developer at Mobomo, you will play a crucial role in architecting, building, and maintaining delivery frameworks for websites. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating seamless user experiences, and your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving project success. You will be working closely with the development team, project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include contributing to scope of build conversations, integrating with third-party APIs, customizing WordPress to support specific functionality, and contributing to the support of current client websites. What You Will Do
- Contribute to scope of build conversations with development team, project managers, designers, and other stakeholders
- Integrate with third-party APIs and customize WordPress to support specific functionality
- Contribute to the support of current client websites
- Document plugins, new code, theme, and plugin modifications
- Grow personal and team member expertise through training, exploring, and prospecting
- Architect, build, and maintain a delivery framework for websites
- Produce new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability
- Deliver functional, testable code on or before due dates
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders utilizing Agile methodologies
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, React (Gutenberg)
- VUE.js experience preferred
- Proficient understanding of ES6+
- Demonstrable proficiency with CSS Grid, Flexbox
- Proficient understanding of accessibility in WordPress themes and page design
- Demonstrable understanding of npm task runners such as WebPack
- Knowledge of Front-End Testing and Tooling
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and REST APIs, AJAX, and GraphQL
- Demonstrable proficiency in Google Tag Manager
- Strong understanding of WordPress APIs, theme hierarchy, and custom Gutenberg block development
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Good documentation skills are a must
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience migrating other websites into WordPress
- Familiarity with modern team and project management tools such as Jira and Slack
- Knowledge of Front-End Testing and Tooling
- Experience with React (Gutenberg)
