About the Role
As a WordPress Support Engineer at Rocket.net, you will be the first point of contact for customers with WordPress-related issues. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support and technical expertise to resolve issues quickly and effectively. The role requires a strong technical background in WordPress and excellent communication skills. You will be working remotely as part of a multicultural team that values diversity and inclusion.The role entails day-to-day management of customer support through live chat, tickets, and Slack. You will be working closely with the internal teams to ensure that customer issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. What You Will Do
- Provide customer support through live chat, tickets, and Slack
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues
- Write knowledge base articles and technical blog posts
- Convert recurring issues into feature requests
- Assist customers with migrating their WordPress sites to Rocket.net
- Provide critical assistance with DNS pointing
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving customer support processes
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience with WordPress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Previous experience with live chat and/or helpdesk tools
- Familiarity with common web hosting stacks (cPanel, NGINX, Apache, MySQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of Linux command line (SSH) including WP-CLI
- Extensive experience with troubleshooting WordPress
- Experience with page builders and caching plugins
- Experience with Cloudflare and advanced understanding of DNS
- Experience in optimizing WordPress
- Knowledge of Redis, CDN, WAF, and page caching
Nice to Have
- Experience with PHP and custom plugin development
- Knowledge of Excel and data analysis
- Experience with project management tools and workflows
- Certification in WordPress development or support
- Experience with remote work and collaboration tools
