About the Role

The Workforce Partnerships Manager role at OpenAI is a crucial part of the Global Affairs team, focusing on developing and managing partnerships that aim to prepare the workforce for an AI-enabled economy. This involves building and maintaining relationships with various organizations, including workforce development entities, community colleges, and non-profits, to create programs that enhance AI literacy and provide economic opportunities. The role is central to OpenAI's mission of ensuring that artificial general intelligence (AGI) benefits all of humanity, requiring a deep understanding of the landscape and the ability to navigate complex partnerships.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are varied and impactful, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. As part of the Global Affairs team, the Workforce Partnerships Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including research, product, legal, communications, and go-to-market teams, to ensure that OpenAI's priorities are communicated outwardly and that external perspectives are brought into the organization to support its mission.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage partnerships with workforce development organizations, community colleges, non-profits, and other strategic partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Global Affairs Certifications partnerships.
  • Support the design, implementation, renewal, and expansion of partnership opportunities.
  • Coordinate with partners to establish goals, success metrics, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Academy, Certifications, GTM, and Product, to align programs and resources.
  • Develop playbooks and implementation guidance for workforce partners.
  • Monitor program outcomes and synthesize learnings to inform future programming.
  • Represent OpenAI at conferences, workshops, and partner meetings.
  • Facilitate trainings, roundtables, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Contribute to the identification of emerging workforce trends and opportunities for impact.
  • Assist in creating briefing materials, presentations, and thought leadership content.
