About the Role
The Writer & Editor role at LaunchSquad is a unique opportunity for a skilled content creator to join a team of innovative professionals who are passionate about storytelling and technology. As a key member of the Content Studio, you will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing high-quality content for emerging and established B2B technology brands. This includes thought leadership articles, white papers, blog posts, case studies, and social copy that showcases your ability to craft compelling narratives around complex tech topics.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the B2B technology landscape, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. You will be working closely with Editorial Directors, Account Leads, and clients to create content that meets their specific needs and goals. LaunchSquad's Content Studio is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and attention to detail. As a Writer & Editor, you will be expected to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency across all content formats and distribution channels.
What You Will Do
- Write and edit high-quality content, including long-form articles, white papers, blog posts, case studies, and social copy
- Interview executives and subject-matter experts to develop storylines and industry perspectives for owned content initiatives
- Develop and manage editorial calendars that support integrated program goals
- Work directly with clients to understand their priorities, anticipate content needs, and make thoughtful editorial recommendations that move programs forward
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines across 4-5 accounts and industries simultaneously
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team to deliver strategic communications programs with original content at the forefront
- Edit and proofread content for story, structure, clarity, and accuracy
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the B2B technology industry
- Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to create visually stunning and engaging content
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of LaunchSquad's clients and their respective industries
What We Are Looking For
- 4-7+ years of experience in journalism, content marketing, or communications, primarily focused on B2B technology
- Strong portfolio of writing and editing that demonstrates storytelling skills and attention to detail
- Experience interviewing executives and external sources and translating complex technical information into accessible writing
- Proven ability to manage multiple client projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling
- Experience optimizing content for SEO/GEO, LinkedIn publishing, and other digital channels
- Strong understanding of the B2B technology landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Ability to work in a virtual first environment, with a self-motivated and disciplined approach to work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to content creation
Nice to Have
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, and account managers
