What You Will Do

  • Provide on-demand and scheduled coaching to students in grades 4-12 via Clayful's coaching platform
  • Support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities with cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Engage in ongoing training and adapt to new tools and processes as Clayful evolves
  • Respond to student inquiries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Clayful's coaching frameworks and crisis protocols
  • Collaborate with licensed Coach Supervisors to ensure the highest level of support for students
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of coaching sessions and student interactions
  • Stay current with best practices in youth mental health and coaching, applying this knowledge to improve coaching skills and support students more effectively

What We Are Looking For

  • California Wellness Coach Certification (or eligibility via one of two pathways)
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, or Psychology from a CA institution
  • 400 hours of field experience (care coordination or similar)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with experience working with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • Familiarity with technology and digital platforms, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and systems
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay current with best practices in youth mental health and coaching

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with students in grades 4-12, with a strong understanding of adolescent development and the challenges of this age group
  • Familiarity with crisis protocols and emergency response procedures, with the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse linguistic backgrounds
