Enterprise Account Executive - Kansas City/St. Louis
Job Description
About 7AI
7AI is the foundational AI security company. Founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, we came out of stealth in February 2025 to take on the non-human work of the SOC. Our platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt, plus dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence, with humans on the loop.
Backed by $166 million in total funding from investors including Index Ventures and Blackstone, we're building the AI foundation for security operations in the agentic era, and we're still early. That's the appeal: you'll join at a pivotal stage where your work shapes what 7AI becomes, alongside security veterans who've built this before. Our culture runs on respect, collaboration, and a shared bar for excellence, all pointed at one goal, delivering real outcomes for the customers who trust us to defend them.
Overview
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you'll help us expand the Heartland territory. You'll work closely with Product, Marketing, and Leadership to shape our sales strategy, refine our messaging, and build a repeatable sales process grounded in real customer conversations. Identify and engage enterprise customers in cybersecurity
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing complex deals
Build and deliver product demonstrations
Build and maintain strategic customer relationships
Work with Product and Marketing to refine our sales approach
Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets
What We're Looking For
5+ years of enterprise sales experience in cybersecurity technology
A track record of closing complex, high-value deals
Experience in early-stage startups, or growing new territories where the brand has little name recognition
Deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity challenges
A strong network in cybersecurity and technology sales
Strong communication and negotiation skills
How to Stand Out
- Showcase a proven cybersecurity sales pipeline: In your resume and interview, reference at least two enterprise deals you closed in the past 12 months that involved SaaS security solutions. Include metrics (e.g., $X M ARR, sales cycle length, win‑rate) and briefly describe the prospecting tactics (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, outreach sequences, webinars) you used to get to the decision‑makers.
- Build a tailored 2‑page “Go‑to‑Market Blueprint” for Seven AI: Before the interview, research Seven AI’s core product stack (e.g., AI‑driven threat detection, API integrations) and draft a concise plan that outlines target verticals in the Midwest, messaging hooks, and a repeatable demo flow. Bring the PDF to the video call and walk the interviewers through it to demonstrate strategic thinking and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrate mastery of remote sales tech: Highlight hands‑on experience with the exact tools Seven AI uses—Salesforce or HubSpot for CRM, Gong for conversation analytics, Zoom for demos, and Monday.com for pipeline tracking. If you’ve built automated outreach sequences in Outreach.io or Apollo, prepare a screenshot or short video clip to share as a portfolio piece.
- Prepare a live product demo mock‑up: Using a free sandbox or screen‑recording software, create a 5‑minute demo that solves a common security pain point for a Midwestern enterprise (e.g., “Rapid detection of ransomware in a distributed workforce”). Practice delivering it over a virtual meeting and be ready to field technical questions; the interviewers will likely ask you to “sell” the product on the spot.
- Negotiate with data‑driven market benchmarks: Research the median total compensation for Enterprise Account Executives in cybersecurity (≈ $120–$150 k base + 15‑20% OTE) for the Kansas City/St. Louis market. Bring a one‑page salary matrix to the final interview that aligns your proven quota attainment (e.g., > 130% of target) with a realistic base and accelerator structure, showing you understand both the role’s impact and market norms.
