WFA stands for Work From Anywhere. It is a working arrangement where the employer lets you work from any location, not just your home or one specific city or country. In job listings and HR it is often shortened to WFA.
In HR, WFA (Work From Anywhere) is a policy that lets employees choose where they work, including from another country, rather than commuting to an office or being tied to one region. It goes a step further than 'remote', which often still carries a country or timezone requirement.
A WFA job is a role you can do from any location. The difference from a general 'remote' job is eligibility: many remote jobs still require you to live in a certain country or timezone, while a true work-from-anywhere job is open to candidates wherever they are based.
Yes, but it is rarer than it sounds. A large share of jobs labelled 'remote' still require you to live in a specific country or timezone. In our own data, only about 1 to 2 percent of remote listings are genuinely open to candidates anywhere in the world. WFA Digital labels which roles are truly work-from-anywhere and which have a location requirement.
Remote means you do not go into an office. Work from anywhere (WFA) goes further: the employer does not restrict which country or timezone you live in. A job can be fully remote but still limited to one country, for example 'remote, US only'. WFA removes that location limit, so the real question is not just whether a role is remote but where it can actually hire from.
In a business or workplace context, WFA means Work From Anywhere: letting staff work from any location rather than a fixed office or region. It sits alongside on-site, hybrid and standard remote work as one of the main ways companies organise where people work.
They range from fully distributed technology companies to businesses that open specific roles worldwide. Because genuinely location-free roles are a small share of the market, WFA Digital lists them and labels each role with the countries it can actually hire in, so you can see which employers are open to your location.
WFA Careers means Work From Anywhere careers: roles you can do from any location, not tied to one city or country. WFA Digital is a work-from-anywhere careers board, it lists remote and genuinely location-free jobs and labels which countries each role can actually hire from. You can also follow us on Instagram at @wfadigitalcareers.
In a work or job-search context, WFA almost always means Work From Anywhere. It is not a standard texting or chat abbreviation, so if you have seen it around jobs, remote work or HR, it is referring to working from any location.
19,617 jobs from 2,291 companies are live on the site right now. This number updates automatically as jobs are added and expire.
641 active listings right now are genuinely Work From Anywhere, use the "WFA Only" filter on the jobs page to browse just those. Every other active listing is still 100% remote, just tied to a specific country or region, and we label that distinction clearly on each posting rather than blur the two together.
Development: 2,169 openings posted in the last 30 days, more than any other category.

A Work From Anywhere job has no location or timezone restriction attached to it, you can work from any country, as long as the work gets done. That's different from most "remote" listings, which are remote only within a specific country or region. We tag WFA jobs explicitly so you don't have to dig through the fine print to find out, use the "WFA Only" filter on the jobs page to see just those.
Read the location field carefully. "Remote (US)" or "Remote, must reside in the EU" means the role is geographically restricted, not open worldwide. On WFA Digital, only jobs we've verified as unrestricted get the Work From Anywhere badge.
Jobs are automatically deactivated 90 days after they're posted, since most postings that old are already filled. We remove them from listings rather than leave a dead link live.
Yes, a dedicated LATAM section covering jobs open to LATAM-based candidates, plus country guides in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Yes, upload your CV from your dashboard and we'll surface jobs that match your background.
Both, but we prioritize direct sources. We pull postings straight from company career pages via their applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable) whenever we can find them, and only fall back to aggregator feeds for companies we haven't discovered a direct source for yet.
We source postings directly from companies' own career pages and applicant tracking systems, or as a fallback from public aggregator feeds. We don't run a separate manual vetting process on top of that. Sourcing straight from a company's own hiring system is itself a real quality signal most aggregator-only job boards don't have.
A 0–10 score computed from that company's own real job data across five dimensions: Work From Anywhere ratio, timezone flexibility, salary transparency, LATAM openness, and hiring velocity, calculated from the postings on file, not a self-reported badge.
