Location
Remote, Colombia - Time Zone: CT - Type: Full-time About the Company An established, fast-scaling two-sided marketplace in flexible housing, connecting hundreds of thousands of property owners with renters needing month-plus stays. Profitable, over a decade in business, and recently recognized as a category leader in its space. How to Stand Out
- Highlight any experience building a Trust & Safety org from scratch—prepare a 1‑page “Operating Model Blueprint” that outlines team structure, workflow diagrams, and tooling stack (e.g., Sift, Riskified, Ongoing, internal case‑management APIs). Bring this to the interview to show you can hit the ground running at LatamCent.
- Quantify past fraud‑reduction results with concrete KPIs (e.g., “‑30 % charge‑back loss in 12 months; mean‑time‑to‑resolution cut from 48 h to 6 h”). Prepare a short slide deck that maps those metrics to the platform‑risk factors mentioned in the posting (identity spoofing, fake listings, payment abuse).
- Demonstrate hands‑on familiarity with automated moderation pipelines: set up a sandbox demo using Python + TensorFlow/Keras or a low‑code rule engine (e.g., ModSquad, Scale AI) that flags suspicious marketplace transactions. Show how you’d integrate it with LatamCent’s API layer to trigger real‑time alerts.
- Emphasize remote‑leadership chops—share a case study of managing a distributed T&S team across time zones, including communication cadence (daily stand‑ups, async Kanban on Jira/ClickUp) and performance tracking (OKRs tied to fraud loss, false‑positive rate). Mention any experience with Colombian labor regulations or remote‑work compliance, which will reassure the COO.
- Prepare a salary justification that ties the market rate for senior T&S directors in Latin America (USD 150‑190 k base + equity) to the ROI you’ll deliver (e.g., “‑$2 M fraud loss avoided = 10× salary”). Bring a one‑page comparison chart and be ready to negotiate a performance‑based bonus tied to the “safer platform” metrics outlined in the job description.
