Engineering Manager, ERP
WFA Digital Insight
Vultr’s Engineering Manager, ERP sits at the crossroads of finance and technology, tasked with reshaping the company’s internal control plane into an ERP‑grade platform. Unlike a greenfield build, the role requires excavating and reconstructing existing systems while the business stays live, demanding a balance between rapid delivery and data integrity. The manager will partner daily with finance, data, and analytics leaders, translating accounting concepts into engineering deliverables without turning the team into accountants. Building a small, high‑leverage squad means you’ll shape hiring, standards, and architecture from the ground up, making the position uniquely hands‑on for leaders who thrive on cross‑functional complexity.

- Bring concrete metrics (e.g., reduced billing errors, improved invoice turnaround) from previous roles to demonstrate impact.
- Research Vultr’s product suite and think about how the internal control plane ties into cloud services; referencing this shows genuine interest.
- When negotiating, factor in the remote stipend, professional development allowance, and the strong PTO policy.
- Watch for red flags: a role that expects you to become an accountant without appropriate support may indicate scope creep.
